Germany has failed us again with the creation of the god awful band Tokio Hotel. Unless you like rock cliches and terrible song lyrics (“Ready, set, go”), Tokio Hotel will hurt your brain. I can imagine the flyer they put up now, “Must have big hair, attitude, and stage presence.”
Total shit.

If Tokio Hotel is a derivative of the “emo” music I listened to fifteen years ago (Cap’n Jazz, Sunny Day Real Estate, etc.), then I’ll jump off a bridge onto a ten-foot spike. Their wafer-thin lyrics, contrived costumes, and phony emotional attitude are grotesque at best. They rightfully deserve the VMA.
